Mumbai, Dec. 31 -- A sessions court here on Wednesday granted anticipatory bail to a guest professor accused of molesting nine female students and a retired teacher at a college event in south Mumbai.

The professor, who has a 35-year clean career record, claimed the allegations were due to a misunderstanding and personal grudge.

In his bail plea, he also contended that he is suffering from mental diseases and presently addmitted in a hospital.

The court considered his severe depression and mental health issues, as well as the delayed filing of the FIR, in granting bail.
