Hyderabad, Oct. 23 -- In a major legal setback to Prince Azmet Jah and Shekhar Jah, the City Civil Court, Hyderabad, has dismissed their plea seeking rejection of the partition suit filed by Nawab Najaf Ali Khan over the palaces and properties of the late Nizam VII, Nawab Mir Osman Ali Khan Bahadur.

The XI Additional Chief Judge of the City Civil Court dismissed the interlocutory application (2024) filed by Azmet Jah and Shekhar Jah in the ongoing partition suit (2021), thereby allowing the case to proceed to a full trial.

The case involves 232 defendants, including the Indian Hotels Company Limited, which operates the iconic Taj Falaknuma Palace.
