Jaipur, Nov. 30 -- In a bizarre incident, attempts to burn alive a woman and her lover were made allegedly by their relatives in Badilav village of Dudu block in Jaipur district late Friday night.
According to police sources, the kin and the villagers had caught the couple in an objectionable condition in an agricultural field. They allegedly poured petrol and set them afire. Some villagers who reached the spot, hearing noises, extricated them from the blaze and rescued them.
The duo with grave burn injuries was taken to the nearby Community Health Center(CMC), from where they were referred to the SMS Hospital here.
