Una, March 10 -- In a shocking incident reported on Monday, a young man and woman allegedly attempted to end their lives by jumping into the Nangal canal near Gag village on the Nangal-Sri Anandpur Sahib road in Una district.
According to media footage and local reports, the incident occurred earlier in the day when the couple, reportedly from a village in the Haroli assembly constituency, jumped into the fast flowing canal. Alert local residents rushed to the spot and managed to pull both of them out after strenuous efforts.
