Mumbai, Oct. 15 -- The Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) of Mumbai Customs has arrested a couple at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) for allegedly smuggling hydroponic weed worth Rs. 5.45 crore from Colombo, officials said.
The accused, identified as Mohammed Saud Siddiqui (29) and his wife Sana Siddiqui (27), were apprehended following a tip-off about a suspicious trolley bag in their possession.
During a baggage check, officials discovered three airtight packets hidden inside the bag.
