Bijnor, Nov. 30 -- A young couple was found dead by hanging on Sunday morning, just a day before the girl's engagement. The bodies were discovered hanging from a tree in a field near their village, sending shockwaves through their families.
The couple, identified as Ashu (21) and Shivani (19), had been in a relationship for a long time, though their families were unaware. Ashu was preparing for a police recruitment exam, while Shivani's family had recently arranged her marriage, with the engagement scheduled for Monday.
