Bharatpur, May 27 -- A couple died after consuming a poisonous substance following a domestic quarrel in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan on Tuesday, police said.
Police sources said that Surendra and his wife, Rina, residents of Madapura village, consumed poison at their home after a dispute on Monday night.
Their children were present at home during the incident. When the couple started vomiting, the children began crying, alerting the neighbours.
The neighbours found the couple unconscious and rushed them to the Rudawal government hospital late at night, from where they were referred to the district hospital.
Both Surendra and Rina died at the hospital on Tuesday early morning.
