Rio de Janeiro, Dec. 15 -- Corinthians and Vasco da Gama will meet in the Copa do Brasil final after winning their respective semifinals in penalty shootouts.
At Rio de Janeiro's Maracana Stadium, Uruguayan defender Jose Luis Rodriguez converted the decisive spot-kick as Vasco prevailed 4-3 in its shootout against local rival Fluminense.
Earlier, Paulo Henrique netted an own goal to gift Fluminense a 1-0 lead and leave the teams level on aggregate.
With no extra time, the match went straight to penalties after 90 minutes. Rayan, Victor Luis, and Philippe Coutinho also converted in the shootout as Vasco reached the final for the first time since 2011.
