Belem (Brazil), Nov. 18 -- India has urged developed countries to demonstrate greater climate ambition and honour their commitments in terms of climate financing.

Addressing a high-level session of COP30 on Monday, union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav called for implementation and delivery with regard to the promises made by the developed countries earlier.

The Minister asserted, "Developed countries must reach net zero far earlier than current target dates and deliver new, additional, and concessional climate finance at a scale of trillions, not billions".
