Doha, Nov. 22 -- A controversial lbw decision and a nail-biting final over proved decisive as Pakistan A edged past Sri Lanka A by 5 runs in the second semifinal of the ACC Men's Asia Cup Rising Stars at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium on Friday.

Chasing 154, Sri Lanka A looked in control before Milan Priyanath Rathnayake, who had been anchoring the chase with a 40 off 32 balls, was adjudged lbw to Ubaid Shah in the 19.3 over.

The delivery appeared to be sliding down the leg side, but the umpire's decision, in the absence of DRS, left Sri Lanka needing 8 runs off three balls, a scenario that ultimately swung the match in Pakistan's favour.
