Bengaluru, March 3 -- The Karnataka State Contractors' Association (KSCA) on Monday met Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, urging the government to clear their pending dues of Rs 30,000 crore. The Chief Minister assured them that the payments would be settled in accordance with the state's financial condition.

The contractors' body demanded that Rs 15,000 crore be cleared by April. However, Siddaramaiah stated that such an immediate settlement was not feasible. "I informed them that it was not possible and assured them that the dues would be cleared whenever possible," he told reporters.
