Mumbai, June 17 -- A construction worker tragically lost his life late Monday evening after being buried beneath collapsing soil at an Andheri East building site during heavy monsoon rains, officials confirmed on Tuesday.
The fatal incident occurred around 7:45 PM in Kadamwadi. According to a Bombay Municipal Corporation (BMC) report, the labourer was actively working within the foundation pit of an under-construction structure situated behind Saila Business Park. Without warning, a section of the adjacent loose soil bank gave way, cascading down and completely entombing him under the rubble.
