New Delhi, Aug. 25 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today strongly criticised the Opposition for their protest against the Constitution Amendment Bill 2025, accusing them of rejecting morality in favour of "nirlajjta" (shamelessness).
"When the entire nation has embraced this instrument of morality and good governance, a small section of the Opposition is openly declaring that they stand not with morality but with shamelessness. They proclaim, 'hum toh nirlajjta ke saath hain,'" BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla told reporters here.
He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government has introduced the 130th Amendment Bill in Parliament to combat corruption and end the "criminalization of politics," but the Opposition intend to promote...
