New Delhi, Nov. 20 -- The Congress is formulating a strategy to bring an impeachment motion against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar in the upcoming session of Parliament, party sources said on Thursday.
The sources said, based on internal discussions, the Congress has once again intensified its plan to move an impeachment proposal against the Chief Election Commissioner during the forthcoming winter session of Parliament.
Congress Party sources say that the Election Commission has failed to respond adequately to public and opposition questions regarding EVM machines, the revision of the electoral rolls (SIR), and overall electoral transparency.
