Baran (Rajasthan), Nov. 14 -- Former Rajasthan Minister Pramod Jain Bhaya of the Congress was declared elected in the Anta assembly by-poll, defeating Morpal Suman of the BJP by 15,594 votes in a high-voltage triangular contest.

Three-time ex-MLA Bhaya secured 69,462 votes while his BJP rival Suman bagged 53,868 votes, very closely followed by former Congress rebel Naresh Meena (IND) who got 53,740 votes.

The battle-of-ballots in the South Eastern region of Rajasthan was fought so keenly among Bhaya, Suman and Naresh Meena (IND), that the struggle for victory was fraught with uncertainty due to the slender to modest margin of votes among the three contenders that prevailed throughout the course of counting, which concluded in 20 rounds. ...
