Hyderabad, Feb. 11 -- union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy on Wednesday accused the Congress government of violating election rules, indulging in money politics and carrying out an unconstitutional division of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).
Addressing a media conference at the BJP state office, he said BJP national president Nitin Nabin had expressed deep anguish over the suicide of BJP councillor candidate Erukala Mahadevappa in Maktal, allegedly due to threats from Congress leaders fearing defeat.
He alleged that cash distribution took place openly near polling booths across Telangana, even in the presence of police, and claimed there was no response from the State Election Commission.
