Nagpur, Jan. 6 -- Maharashtra Congress President Harshwardhan Sapkal on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, alleging large-scale corruption in the state government and claiming that the CM's public image does not match the ground reality.

Addressing a press conference in Nagpur during the release of the Congress manifesto for the Nagpur Municipal Corporation elections, Sapkal said while Fadnavis is portrayed as "Deva Bhau", he should instead be called "Takka Bhau", accusing him of misleading the public.

Referring to the Ladki Bahin welfare scheme launched ahead of the Assembly elections, Sapkal alleged that the scheme was used for political promotion and was accompanied by corruption.
