Shimla, Feb. 21 -- Himachal Pradesh's Congress government has decided to learn from BJP-run Gujarat's approach to human resource issues like hiring, promotion, deciding seniority and fixing pensions in cases of contract recruitment.

Such issues have cropped up following recent court decisions, sources said.

The decision was taken at a meeting convened by Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena to talk about these legal problems, especially about rules for hiring and promoting people on contract.

The state's recruitment process is getting more complicated because of different decisions made by the Supreme Court and the Himachal Pradesh High Court.
