Patna, Sept. 25 -- Accusing the BJP of trying to make reservations irrelevant and gradually end it, the Congress today announced that once back in power, it would implement such quota in the private sector, similar to those in government institutions.
Addressing a press conference, Congress general secretary and CWC member Syed Naseer Hussain alleged that the BJP government was deliberately reducing government jobs in order to weaken the reservation system.
He claimed that over 30 lakh posts are lying vacant in Central government departments, but the BJP has intentionally avoided filling them. "If these vacancies are filled, nearly 15 lakh jobs would go to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, OBCs, Extremely Backward Classes and minorities...
