Mumbai, Oct. 10 -- After Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi (MVA) suffered a major setback in the Assembly elections, efforts are now on to form new alliances to counter the Mahayuti government and maintain political relevance.
However, these very moves may end up causing cracks within the MVA itself.
Opposition parties in Maharashtra are struggling to regain their foothold. For the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) and Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction), the upcoming local body elections are crucial for their political survival, while Sharad Pawar's Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) is also under pressure to reaffirm its presence.
