Kochi, May 16 -- Criticising the Centre for its decision to rename Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Opposition leader in Kerala Assembly VD Satheesan said "disrespecting Nehru's contribution is disrespecting India's foundation."
"The move to rename Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan exposes BJP-RSS's obsession with rewriting history," the Congress leader said.
"Disrespecting Nehru's contribution is disrespecting India's foundation. BJP and RSS are distorting history for petty politics," he added.
Meanwhile, Congress leader KC Venugopal said, "No matter how much the Sangh Parivar tries, removing Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru's name from prominent institutions will not erase his towering legacy."
