Kozhikode, Oct. 13 -- Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) working president and Vadakara MP, Shafi Parambil was discharged today after three days of hospital stay, following an alleged lathi-charge at Perambra in which he sustained injuries.
Lok Sabha MP, Shafi Parambil will be camping at Kozhikode for further treatment, according to the instruction of the hospital authorities.
He was discharged from the Baby Memorial hospital, a private hospital in Kozhikode, in the late evening.
Shafi Parambil suffered injuries and underwent nasal bone fracture surgery on October 10, following injuries sustained when police blocked Congress workers at Perambra town, to avoid tension and clash with CPI(M) workers assembled at Perambra town.
