Guwahati, March 15 -- Senior leader of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee and Barpeta Lok Sabha Congress MP, Abdul Khaleque on Friday resigned from the Primary Membership of the Congress party after not being given a ticket to contest the coming Lok Sabha elections

Khaleque sent his resignation letter to All India Congress Committee President Mallikarjun Kharge. In his resignation letter to the party's national President, he raised certain allegations against state Congress President Bhupen Bora and party General Secretary in-charge of Assam Jitendra Singh.
