Congress minister blocking people's voice: BJP's Tamme Gowda
Bengaluru, June 10 -- In a scathing attack on the Congress-led Karnataka government, BJP State General Secretary Tamme Gowda on Tuesday accused Minister Krishna Byre Gowda of misusing his influence to prevent public protests and silence dissent in Byatarayanapura, a constituency the minister represents.
Addressing media persons after the abrupt police action that halted the 'Byatarayanapura Janakrosha Yatra', Tamme Gowda alleged that the Congress government was "afraid of public scrutiny" and was resorting to authoritarian tactics to stop citizens from voicing anger over issues like price hikes, tax increases, corruption, nepotism, and neglect of development in the area.
