Ranchi, July 31 -- Ahead of the Jharkhand Assembly's Monsoon Session, the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) held a strategy meeting at the state Congress headquarters here.
The meeting was chaired by CLP leader Pradeep Yadav and attended by Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) president Keshav Mahto Kamlesh and AICC in-charge for
Jharkhand Dr. Siribella Prasad.
During the meeting, Pradeep Yadav strongly criticised the Election Commission's use of the Standardisation of Electoral Roll (SIR), alleging it was an attempt to curtail the fundamental
voting rights of ordinary citizens.
He asserted that the Congress will oppose the SIR exercise in Jharkhand, and push for a
resolution in the Assembly from the Mahagathbandhan alliance ...
