Itanagar, May 7 -- Arunachal Pradesh Congress leader and former state Minister Takam Sanjoy on Wednesday urged the Centre, the Delimitation Commission, and the Election Commission of India to enhance Arunachal Pradesh's political representation by increasing its Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha and Assembly seats.
The former MP suggested the state's current two Lok Sabha seats be raised to six, the sole Rajya Sabha seat to two, and the 60-member State Assembly to 90 seats.
Sanjoy called for constitutional amendments to facilitate this change, emphasising the importance of such a "revolutionary step" for the peace-loving people of the state.
