Patna, April 27 -- Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary on Sunday said Congress has been opposing reservation for backwards and deprived since long.
Chaudhary, also senior BJP leader while addressing a meeting of Dalits organised by his party here, said that Congress had been opposing reservation for backwards and deprived since long. Even first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had opposed reservation idea of Bheem Rao Ambedkar and had also written letters to Chief Ministers of states across the country in this connection, he pointed out.
