Hyderabad, Oct. 7 -- Telangana BJP State President N Ramchander Rao accused the Congress government of neglecting the community associated with Maharshi Valmiki's legacy.
Speaking at a programme organised at the BJP State headquarters on the occasion of Maharshi Valmiki Jayanti, Rao paid floral tributes to the sage and recalled his contributions to humanity.
The event was organised by the BJP State SC Morcha.
Rao alleged that the Congress government had completely ignored the welfare of the Valmiki-Boyar communities, despite their inclusion among the Backward Classes.
He said the teachings of Maharshi Valmiki-centred on truth, righteousness, and justice-continue to guide society and should inspire the government to act responsibly.
