New Delhi, March 25 -- The Congress party has been issued a notice to vacate its long-standing headquarters at 24, Akbar Road, along with the Indian Youth Congress office at 5, Raisina Road, the development is likely to trigger a political confrontation between the grand old party and the BJP government at the Centre.
According to sources, the party has been directed to vacate the premises by March 28. The notice comes after Congress shifted to its new headquarters, Indira Bhavan, prompting authorities to ask the party to relinquish its previous offices.
