Hyderabad, Jan. 6 -- The Indian National Congress has accelerated the reconstitution of the Hyderabad District Congress Committee (DCC) to strengthen grassroots organisation ahead of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections.
PCC observers Mohammad Javeed and Subramanyam, along with Hyderabad DCC President Syed Khalid Saifullah and senior leaders, held consultations with applicants for key posts on Tuesday.
Discussions were conducted in the presence of Assembly in-charges from Chandrayangutta, Bahadurpura, Yakutpura, Charminar and Malakpet.
Khalid Saifullah said the new DCC team would be announced shortly, noting that a transparent and consultative process has replaced the earlier nomination-based system.
