Tirupati, Oct. 31 -- The Congress party today demanded the immediate revocation of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Board's resolution to spend Rs 25 crore on building a Kalyana Mandapam and accommodation complex in Kanipakam.
Speaking at a media conference here, Andhra Pradesh State Congress Committee Vice-President Dodda Reddy Rambhupal Reddy strongly opposed the plan, insisting that the TTD must immediately withdraw the resolution.
Reddy argued that TTD funds, collected through the Srivari hundi, should be spent on the development of facilities specifically for devotees in Tirumala-Tirupati.
