Hyderabad, Feb. 4 -- Telangana Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister Captain N. Uttam Kumar Reddy reaffirmed the Congress party's commitment to social justice, stating that the socio-economic, educational, employment, and political caste census survey was conducted with discipline and dedication.

Speaking in the state assembly on Tuesday, Reddy strongly countered the doubts raised by BJP MLA Payala Shankar during the debate on the caste census.

He emphasised that the large-scale survey, inspired by Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, was a historic initiative to ensure fair representation and upliftment of marginalized communities.
