Hyderabad, Feb. 18 -- Senior BRS leader Shaik Abdullah Sohail on Wednesday alleged that the Congress and the BJP were working in tandem in Telangana's municipalities to prevent the BRS from securing leadership positions, despite its numerical strength in several local bodies.

Addressing the media, Sohail said the indirect elections to municipal posts exposed a "clear Congress-BJP understanding" at the local level.

He claimed that after ward results were declared, the two parties entered into backroom arrangements to share posts in various municipalities.
