New Delhi, Jan. 2 -- Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Devender Yadav on Friday claimed that out of 799 government schools in Delhi, 284 currently operate in two shifts.
Yadav cited Directorate of Education figures, stating it would take over 25 years to convert all schools to a single shift. Yadav questioned the current administration's announcement of a policy that would not be completed within its own five-year term.
The criticism also extended to the previous Aam Aadmi Party government. Yadav stated that while AAP had claimed to transform the education model, it constructed only 8-10 new schools over a decade and faced allegations of corruption in classroom construction projects.
