Ranchi, Jan. 2 -- Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson Sonal Shanti on Friday accused the BJP of undermining tribal faith and identity by linking tribal traditions with Sanatan beliefs and rejecting the long-pending demand for a Sarna religion code.
Shanti said the tribal social structure and way of life were deeply rooted and could not be weakened. He asserted that the tribal community clearly understood that only the Mahagathbandhan government could safeguard their faith, traditions and existence, a message already delivered to the BJP in recent Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.
