Shillong, Dec. 3 -- Meghalaya Chief Minister and National People's Party (NPP) President Conrad Sangma on Tuesday described the Congress as a "divided house," asserting that it needs no external interference to split internally.

"The Congress is completely divided within. They may be sitting on the same table and talking, but internally, they have their own plans. We are in touch with many of them, to be very frank," Sangma said, responding to Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) President Vincent H Pala's claims that One North East political platform (ONE) is a BJP ploy to divide anti-saffron political parties in the northeastern states.
