Lucknow, Feb. 13 -- The recent tragic accident on the Ganga Expressway was strongly raised in the Uttar Pradesh assembly on Friday.
Congress Legislature Party leader Aradhana Mishra and expelled SP Unchahar MLA Manoj Pandey, in an adjournment motion, questioned the government on road safety and administrative accountability.
Aradhana Mishra said that on the Ganga Expressway, which has not yet officially opened for traffic, a speeding vehicle crushed nine women in Rae Bareli.
She questioned how a vehicle that had been challaned five times was still running on the road. "Has the monitoring and enforcement system completely failed?," she questioned.
