Hyderabad, Feb. 6 -- BJP Telangana State President N Ramchander Rao on Friday launched a sharp attack on the Congress and BRS, alleging that urban areas in the state were reeling under severe civic problems due to their misrule.

Addressing a municipal election campaign meeting in Narsapur town of Medak district, he said people were facing inadequate drinking water supply, poor drainage, lack of sanitation services and frequent power issues under the Congress government.

Ramchander Rao alleged that both the previous BRS government and the present Congress regime had burdened municipal residents with higher taxes in the name of urban development, pushing towns into a debt trap. He said rising debts would ultimately lead to increased taxes, ...
