Hyderabad, Dec. 12 -- Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud on Friday said the sweeping victory of Congress-backed sarpanch candidates in the first phase of gram panchayat elections reflects the people's confidence in Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's development and welfare-driven governance.
Addressing the media at Gandhi Bhavan, he congratulated Congress supporters for their strong performance, stating that more than 2,600 Congress-backed candidates won out of 4,230 panchayats. He claimed that Congress supporters secured 90 per cent of unanimously elected seats.
