New Delhi, July 12 -- In an effort to counter what it called as "disinformation and distortion" by the BJP regarding the Supreme Court order on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar, the Congress today said it was satisfied with the ruling, noting that the court had directed the Election Commission of India (ECI) to accept the Aadhaar card, voter card and ration card as valid proof of identity.

Moreover, the party clarified that it "never pressed" for the stay of the SIR.
