Bhopal, Dec. 5 -- The principal opposition Congress staged a walkout on Thursday in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly after being dissatisfied with Chief Minister Mohan Yadav's reply on the issue of compensation to cultivators for crop loss due to inclement weather.

During the Question Hour, Babu Jandel (Cong) said, "Even after the Chief Minister's announcement eight days back, peasants in Sheopur district are not receiving recompense at the rate of Rs 16,000 per hectare."Responding to the member, Revenue Minister Karan Singh Verma said, "The Chief Minister himself journeyed to Sheopur and the dispensation is compensating the tillers.
