Hyderabad, April 22 -- Telangana Transport Minister and Hyderabad In-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Tuesday came down heavily on Union Minister Bandi Sanjay, accusing him of violating the election code by making provocative religious statements in the run-up to the Hyderabad Local Body MLC elections.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan, Prabhakar said the Congress will file a formal complaint with the Election Commission, demanding immediate action.

Prabhakar strongly condemned Bandi Sanjay's public appeal that "Hindutva supporters should vote for the BJP", calling it a direct attempt to polarise voters on religious lines.
