Belagavi, Dec. 9 -- Karnataka BJP President Vijayendra Yediyurappa on Tuesday flayed the state's Congress government, saying its "only achievement" in the past two-and-a-half years was the suicide of 2,500 farmers.

Speaking at a massive protest at Malini City Grounds before the party's march towards Suvarna Soudha, Vijayendra said no other statistic captured the state's governance failure more brutally than the continuing loss of farmers' lives.

Vijayendra said Karnataka's agrarian despair had reached a point where numbers were no longer abstract but deeply personal across the state's rural belts.
