Ramtek (Maharashtra), March 29 -- Congress Party on Friday replaced its official nominee, Rashmi Barve, and declared her husband, Shyamrao Barve, as the new party candidate in Ramtek (SC) Lok Sabha constituency following Rashmi's disqualification from the contest after her caste document declared as invalid.
Validity documents were not as per norms.
Rashmi was disqualified from the contest after the Social Justice Department's District Caste Certificate Scrutiny Committee rejected her caste document as 'invalid' yesterday, sending panic waves in Congress.
