Hyderabad, Nov. 14 -- The counting of votes in the Jubilee Hills by-election is underway, with the Congress establishing a commanding lead as the rounds progress.

Congress candidate Naveen Yadav has maintained his lead consistently, staying ahead through all seven completed rounds.

In the seventh round alone, Yadav extended his margin by 4,000 votes, bringing his overall lead to 19,797 votes. Counting for the eighth round is currently in progress.

With the gap continuing to grow, Congress workers remain upbeat, while signs of distress are visible in the rival camp. Several BRS and BJP polling agents were seen leaving the counting centre one after another, as the prospect of a heavy defeat for their parties became increasingly clear.
