Mysuru, April 16 -- Alleging a political conspiracy behind the recently leaked Karmataka caste survey report, the Mysuru District Vokkaliga Sangha on Wednesday accused the Congress government of attempting to suppress Vokkaligas and Lingayats through "manipulated and fabricated" population figures.
"The government is using the caste survey report as a tool to reduce the political clout of dominant communities. The numbers projected are far from reality," said Mariswamy, district president of the Sangha, at a press conference here.
