Bhopal, Aug. 25 -- A five-year-old dispute has again reared its head in Madhya Pradesh politics as Congress stalwarts Kamal Nath and Digvijaya Singh ascribed different reasons for the fall of the Nath dispensation.

Reacting to the development, union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that he does not want to go into the past.

In 2018, the Congress returned to power after an interregnum of 15 years but a mere 15 months later Scindia joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with 22 supporter legislators and the Nath government fell on March 20, 2020. At that time, discussion was rife that Scindia was annoyed over not being elevated to one of three positions -- Chief Minister, Congress state President and Rajya Sabha member.
