Hyderabad, Nov. 5 -- Senior Congress leader and Telangana government advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir launched a strong attack on the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), accusing it of misleading Muslims and neglecting minority welfare during its decade-long rule.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan along with Minister Md Azharuddin and other leaders on Wednesday, Shabbir said the BRS failed to deliver on its promise of 12 per cent Muslim reservation and even neglected the existing 4 per cent quota case in the Supreme Court.

He alleged that former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) targeted Muslim and Dalit leaders, shut down minority colleges, and ignored Urdu education and Waqf issues.
