Dharmshala, Feb. 9 -- Former Chief Minister and BJP leader and leader of opposition in the Himachal Pradesh assembly, Jairam Thakur, launched a sharp attack on the Congress leadership and the Chief Minister, questioning whether the government was unaware of the state's financial condition while making "false and unrealistic" guarantees to the people.
He said this during the party campaign at Nagrota Bagwan on Monday, that "senior Congress leaders repeatedly asserted that they had a clear roadmap, claiming they had done all necessary research and knew exactly how the promises would be fulfilled. However, the present financial crisis has exposed these claims," Thakur alleged.
