Hyderabad, Dec. 17 -- Telangana BJP president N Ramachander Rao on Wednesday accused the Congress of deliberately creating political confusion over the change in the name of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), asserting that the scheme has neither been abolished nor weakened.
Speaking to the media at the BJP State office in Nampally, Rao said the Centre has, in fact, strengthened the rural employment programme by introducing the Viksit Bharat - Guarantee for Rozgar and Aajeevika Mission (Gramin)-2025, in line with Mahatma Gandhi's vision of Gram Swaraj, the idea of Ram Rajya, and the national goal of Viksit Bharat-2047.
